I do not really think that I am what you would describe as a germaphobe, but when people discuss being scared of numerous bacteria I usually just laugh plus shake my head over the situation.
Having obtained a microbiology degree I am not afraid of germs at all. You have no clue whatsoever what is in your breathing air or on your body at any time! Let alone worrying about washing your hands numerous times through the day. I’m not afraid to eat food that has been resting out on the counter. I do not freak out if I manage to get dirt in my mouth. However, there is a section of life that does gross me out substantially. Indoor air handling appliances are a bacterial respite! Because your indoor air handling appliance is sucking up plus circulating your indoor breathing air it commonly accumulates a lot of airborne contaminants. This isn’t exclusively limited to bacteria plus germs either. There are mold plus dander spores floating through your indoor air all of the time, happily riding on the waves of your air conditioning appliance plus forced air oil furnace. If you actually think it’s gross at your dwelling, consider how nasty Heating plus Air Conditioning appliances are in public locales. This is why I got up plus left a restaurant the other morning after the heating plus cooling appliance effectively contaminated my food. I was just sitting at the table when I noticed a gentle drip hitting my plate. When I looked up, I easily noticed that the HVAC ductwork overhead was dripping something straight onto my table. Thinking of all of the germs, human dander, plus hair that was actually stuck inside of the Heating plus Air Conditioning appliance… I didn’t hesitate to abandon my plate plus go to eat something out of the fridge at my dwelling.
