My brother is what you would call a real know it all.
He is so annoying, and to me, he always has been.
He thinks that he’s an expert on everything. This past year, over the holidays, I was ready to smack him because he wouldn’t stop talking about HVAC systems and all of the things that he knows about it. The thing is, he doesn’t really know a thing about furnaces or air conditioning systems! I’m the one who is a certified HVAC technician, but my brother wants everyone in our family to think that he knows what he’s talking about. I’m sure you’ve met someone like this before, or you might even have one of them in your own family. They are so annoying. I know for a fact that the only thing my brother knows about heating and cooling systems is how to adjust the thermostat in his own house. He really acts like he knows it all literally all the time. I personally think that this is the very reason that he can’t get a girlfriend to stay with him for more than a week or two at a time. He’s just irritating. This whole thing with him acting like he knows everything about HVAC systems is the worst. I think it’s actually just because I really do know nearly everything about heating, air conditioning, and ventilation. I mean, of course, I can always learn more. But when it comes right down to it, I’m the one that is a professional, not him. When he acts like he knows what he’s talking about and it’s so clear to me that he doesn’t, it makes me feel like I can’t even stand to be around him.
