You should upgrade your HVAC equipment if you are selling your home

This place I live in deals with a tremendous amount of heat & humidity, so easily efficient & reliable Heating & A/C models are a real must on a property that is on the market

All of us had been in our lake property for around 30 years. It was where I raised my children & made so many lasting memories. To sell it was a troubling decision that took a pretty good amount of conversations & some soul searching. But my wifey & I knew for a fact that it was time to get moving on. The property was just too big for us to keep up & it needed a new family. When I bought the property in the first place, it had Heating & A/C equipment that was close to 10 years of age. It lasted another 10 or 12 years before I had to eventually replace it. That Heating & A/C equipment is now closing in on 20 years of service. And it has been excellent Heating & A/C equipment. We actually spent a bit of money on that model & after that I made sure it got consistent Heating & A/C maintenance over time. It has never let us down. So I was a bit taken back when one of the first suggestions from our realtor was to replace the Heating & A/C equipment. I was expecting maybe some new renovations to make the place more appealing to a potential buyer. But new Heating & A/C equipment was not one of them. I wanted to sincerely know why & to her credit, the realtor was able to provide some hard data that really showed me how crucial new, efficient Heating & A/C equipment was. This place I live in deals with a tremendous amount of heat & humidity, so easily efficient & reliable Heating & A/C models are a real must on a property that is on the market. To not replace the Heating & A/C equipment would cost more than twice what it does to replace it on the final price. So, it was a pretty easy decision.
