I’m pretty exhausted with how unevenly our gas heating device warms our house.
I honestly get that thermostats don’t turn on the moment that the temperature drops one degree lower than the device setting, however they also don’t turn off the moment the temperature goal is reached.
Otherwise, the gas furnace would be kicking on and off all of the time. This would be a great deal of toil for the heating device. However, I absolutely wish that I wouldn’t get chilly before the gas furnace kicked on. I also wish that I wouldn’t roast to death by the time the gas furnace kicked off. It is basically like I am never comfortable! Well, that is not particularly true. I am comfortable for roughly 2 hours between the time when the gas furnace stops running and when it starts running again. I easily wish that the comfortable times were a lot longer and that the uncomfortable times were a lot shorter. However, my wife and I can’t seem to agree on what to do to make the household more comfortable. She thinks it is the thermostat and that if we simply update the thermostat the household will be comfortable again. I, on the other hand, think that it is just the nature of forced air heating. I think we need to get a boiler system, either with radiators or underfloor heating. This easily will solve the issue. My method costs a lot more currency though. For this reason I am willing to try getting a current thermostat first and seeing if that takes care of our heating issue. If not, I think we can get underfloor heating installed.
