Not long ago while I was at work I ended up getting a call from my wife who was at home. I had a feeling this was going to be bad news as she never calls me while I am on the clock unless it’s an emergency. She ended up telling me that we had a massive bug problem that was deemed to be extremely bad by the professionals that she had called to access the situation. We were told that they would need to fumigate the home for at least two days in order to get rid of the bug problem for good. This was something that caught us completely by surprise, but in order to keep the kids and the wife happy I decided to do something fun for the family while the house was being worked on. We ended up staying at a hotel in the city that had recently opened, and it ended up being a major success. Our two kids had their own room and they were more happy to be able to control the air conditioning unit without fear of us changing it than anything else. They always say that at home my wife and I are too controlling over the thermostat, but if you ask me that’s just them being dramatic. For the next two days we enjoyed the days out by the pool and soaking up the A/C in our rooms while watching movies. Before we knew it the bug problem at home was complete and we were able to move back home. Even though this was an expensive and unexpected vacation, it helped us make the best out of a bad situation.
