I could not believe how much gunk he pulled out of those air vents
I don’t think any of us really notice the air quality in our own homes. We become so accustomed to our environment, that we don’t really notice anything off putting until it is brought to our attention. It wasn’t until my young granddaughter came to visit for the first time, that it was brought to my attention. Young children are very honest with what they think. She tugged my skirt and told me that daddy should look at my house. He was a ‘HABC’ guy and he could fix it. I asked her what he had to fix and she held her nose and told me the stinky air. I suddenly realized that over the years, my air quality had gone steadily downhill. I had a good HVAC system, but for some reason, my air was not pure as it should be. I lived in the mountains where I had fresh air. Why wasn’t the air inside my home, fresh and clean? I talked to my son-in-law, the HVAC technician. He told me that my air quality was a bit off, but it could be something simple. He asked me when I last had my ductwork cleaned. It had been quite a while ago, but I should have had it done since. He also asked me about cleaning the air vents and he looked at the air vents that were near the ceiling. He offered to do the job for me. I could not believe how much gunk he pulled out of those air vents. My granddaughter came in from playing outside and gave him the thumbs up. She said my house smelled nice.
