Now I always keep provisions in my HVAC work van.

I was at this heating and cooling client’s lake house for so long that poor weather flooded into the area before I finished the gas furnace repair

When I was growing up, the adults in our family continually preached the importance of being prepared for any things that might come at you in life. Admittedly, I thought that they were a bit too dramatic with their recollections of living through danger, disaster and damage. I never really thought that I would wind up in a situation where my very own survival depended on planning ahead. And then, I became a central heating, cooling, plus air quality control serviceman straight out of private school. When I graduated from the heating and cooling certification program I thought that everything was going to be smooth sailing from there. Little did I know, being a residential heating, ventilation, and A/C serviceman can be harshly stressful plus unpredictable. You never know what you are about to walk into as an air quality control specialist. Any given day on the job as a heating, ventilation, and A/C worker can go incredibly smoothly or absurdly stressfully. I realized this early on after I got stuck at an emergency gas furnace repair job for over 5 hours one day. I was at this heating and cooling client’s lake house for so long that poor weather flooded into the area before I finished the gas furnace repair. When I was leaving the lake house in my HVAC work van, the roads were incredibly icy plus dangerous, and the next thing I knew, I was stranded on the side of the road in my HVAC work van and had to wait until the next day for a snow plow to clear me out of the ditch. To this day, I am always prepared. There are emergency provisions in my HVAC work van before I leave for any heating and cooling repair or maintenance job.
